Leveling up system? How do our Pokemon level up (besides give-aways and rare candies)?

Whoops I forgot to put that in the information...Anyway, they level up by either battling a wild Pokemon or battling against another trainer (Well their Pokemon) However for them to gain any experience they must defeat the opposing Pokemon.

I would've guessed that...but how many Pokemon per level? And does it vary from Pokemon to Pokemon?

Um...I'll try and answer this as best I can, sorry if I get what you're asking wrong, I am really tired right now. Anyway, if you mean how many Pokemon it takes for your Pokemon to level up then it all depends on what level the Pokemon is you're battling. If they are lower than your Pokemon's level it will take longer to level up. I hope this answers it, if not please say.

It is the answer I was looking for, just a bit vague. ^^ No worries, then. Just curious, that's all.

Ok, I'll try and explain it a bit better when I've had a bit more sleep.

Yeah, I think that would be best. (If you're tired, you really should go to sleep.)

I think Core wanted to know exactly what the level gains would be. For Example:
If my pokemon (lv. 5) beats a wild pokemon (lv. 3) thins I would gain 1/2 a level because I defeated a pokemon of a lower level than mine.
